Trophy Bucks
Mike and Clint White
New Years's Hunt Jan 2008 | White Oak and Red Oak Plantation are family owned and operated Alabama Black Belt hunting lodges with over 43 years of combined experience as Alabama outfitters who excel in providing a truly quality whitetail deer hunting experience.
White Oak operates 12 months and is considered by many to be the standard by which all other lodges are measured.
Red Oak is opened only five weeks of the year from the end of December until the end of January, to give hunters additional choices when looking for a well run facility that offers hunting in the Alabama Black Belt during the rut.
White Oak also offers some of the finest turkey hunting, and largemouth bass fishing. and a challenging nationally recognized sporting clays course.
As a result of 25 years of operating with a Selective Harvesting Program which protects the young bucks, limits the number of mature quality bucks taken and harvest does, White Oak can continue to harvest quality trophy bucks year after year. The doe to buck ratio ranges from 2 to 2 1/2 does to 1 buck. A hunter can count on seeing lots of bucks!

January 19 - 22, 2008 | Red Oak Plantation was opened in 1989 to meet the needs of the deer hunter who wanted to have a quality deer hunt in Alabama, but did not require all the amenities of White Oak. Red Oak is open only 5 weeks of the year, from after Christmas until January 31st, precisely the time of the rut in this area of Alabama. The quality and quantity of deer seen and harvested at Red Oak is virtually the same as White Oak. Some of the finest deer taken over the years have been taken by Red Oak deer hunters.
Red Oak encompasses 6,000 acres of prime deer habitat with over 150 ladder stands and 31 shooting houses. Each year more covered stands are added for the deer hunter's comfort during inclement weather. This is stand hunting only, no stalks or drives.

January 12 - 15, 2008 | The two lodges are totally separate, each with it's own land, lodge and staff. Included in your deer hunt will be lodging in bunk house accommodations, 3 warm and hearty meals a day, daily maid service, all linens, guides, field transportation and limited game preparation.
There is a maximum of 12 deer hunters on each deer hunt; 4 deer hunters per bedroom. The lodge lends itself very well to groups who want to book the entire lodge for themselves. If you want that old camp feeling that seems to have been lost through the years, then Red Oak is certainly the place for you.
